Silvester Electrical Kereone Senior B vs Raglan
3 July 2010

Silvester Electrical Kereone Senior B's took the field against Raglan at home on Saturday and found the first 10 minutes tough as the mobile Raglan backs attacked our line in a determined way. They came up with opening points including a penalty and converted try before Kereone got into gear and turned over ball. Buck Buchan put the first 3 points on Kereone's account with a well judged kick and this proved to be the score at the break , 10 to 3 to the visitors.

Captain Keirian McCarthy had a strong showing and took the ball up at every breakdown, supported by Myles Flynn and Chief Neha and it was McCarthy who scored wide out with the conversion narrowly missed by Buchan. Cole Townsend also showed his skill with the boot with some well judged wipers kicks and he too scored shortly after, converted by Buchan. Raglan began to let themselves down with frustration as Kereone showed some expansive rugby with Hayden Mourits, Stephen Sing and Liam's brother  getting some fine breaks. Birdy Eagles did some crunching tackles and Buchan was strong in the go forward. Allan Blair scored after a patient build up , converted by Buchan and Townsend got his 2nd late in the half to bring up the final score of 27 to 10 holding Raglan scoreless in the half.

Players of the Day went to Buchan and Neha.
